We drove from Forrest City, AR to Bentonville, AR today. You may ask what’s in Bentonville that we stopped here and the answer is mountain biking of course!! Unfortunately the Bella Vista RV park is slightly underwhelming….basically concrete pads with RV’s and campers quite close to each other. The flies are pretty gross and there’s no real amenities…swimming etc. Missing my little field at Low Meadow Farm. C’est La Vie…we’ll make the best of it. We set up camp and Bill went for a quick ride and then we went to the beer garden that’s at the end of the RV park….that’s an amenity enough for him! There is a little bit of a creek running along the trail so I will be visiting it momentarily! Tomorrow we’ll bike on the green trail to downtown Bentonville, weather permitting.
When we left the hotel this morning we needed to charge up so we headed over to the Walmart where the Electrify America chargers are. Typical EA again, One charger down completely, Another rate limited to 50kw. We plugged in and charged up as quickly as we could. Another Rivian pulled up to charge, this one an R1S (The SUV version) and from California. We immediately struck up a conversation with Tom and his son Hudson. He’s moving his son to Nashville, TN for a Hockey academy! Quite something! I got chatting nerd stuff with Tom when he mentioned he worked on the MIPs processor. This is the upside of having to wait for your car to charge. 🙂
We were woken up at 4:30 in the morning to flashes and thunder. It had been threatening to thunderstorm all night. Batten down the hatches! You can see from the radar pic that it looked pretty bad! Luckily the most severe of the storm went around us. Decent amount of rain and my new paint roller support kept the fly from collapsing.

Interesting that Tom had a Durango CO tee on. All the time in Durango and I never once came across a Rivian. Happy that you found a beer garden an Vicky got to see London. See you in a few days, drive safe.
Hockey in TN??? There is something to be said about a thunderstorm while camping. Glad all went well. Keep up the beer garden tour 🍻 Cheers!
