Day Five

The first video on the left is really for those curious about how to deal with an EV when you can’t easily get power. 🙂 I made a special trip 17 minutes away to find a faster charger then the 110 volt I was getting at my friend Scott’s house.

We had a chill day at Scott and Patti’s homestead here in Suffolk, VA which overlooks a peanut field. They live on three acres complete with an archery range, gun range, horseshoe pits, a vegetable garden, beautiful flower beds, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 2 cats ‘and a partridge in a pear tree!!’ We went to Smokey Bones in Virginia Beach for dinner then drove down the main drag which is like Hampton Beach on crack!! Lots of things to see and great people watching. We went to the beach and dipped our toes in the ocean and watched the beautiful sunset. Off to Asheville, NC tomorrow.

  1. Great videos and photos. I know it isn’t easy to put everything together while still taking time to have fun but I appreciate the effort to include us in your adventure.

  2. Thanks for sharing – just shows we need a lot more investment in charging infrastructure, worldwide. It’s a shame the restaurant was closed – would’ve been good to sit inside while waiting for the recharging.
