Today’s two charging stops on the way from Knoxville, TN to Forrest City, AR went perfect. Both times we got decent charge speeds, above 140kw. The best part is the first stop was during lunch and the second stop was when we shopped at Walmart for supplies for the next few days. So it was always us that Jade (That’s the trucks name if we haven’t mentioned it before) that was waiting for.
I packed up all the stuff while Bill went for a ride. It was a beautiful morning in a field, next to a creek. It was very humid and I needed to cool down so put my chair in the creek to dunk my feet while I waited for Bill to come back…very cooling indeed! We drove a lot today, through Nashville and Memphis and were suddenly aware the land was very flat after the hills of NC! We eventually drove over the very wide Mississippi River into Arkansas at the end of the day. We went to Catfish Island for dinner and had our first Hushpuppy…we had to ask the waitress what they are!! “A hush puppy is a small, savory, deep-fried round ball made from cornmeal-based batter. Hushpuppies are frequently served as a side dish with seafood and other deep-fried foods” They were delicious. We saw one more Rivian today total = 6, License plates total = 43. We’re off to Bentonville, AR tomorrow. Till then peeps!
