Bill got up very early and out was out biking by 5:30am so as to beat the heat. He rode about 18 miles and opted not to do the double black diamond, which was very good of him, it’s always nice when he comes back in one piece! If he hadn’t been by himself he might’ve done it! We had a chill day. I watched the ladies Wimbledon final while Bill biked, we went shopping, had a very expensive ice cream…$20 for two, it was delicious and well deserved in the middle of the hot day! We had a siesta, biked down the road to swim in the creek and then went off to find the Devil’s Bridge Trailhead, the last bit of which is not paved and signs suggest that only 4 x 4 vehicles go on it. So Jade was put in off-road mode and was put at max height and off we went. Bill went slowly as he didn’t want to get a puncture (he doesn’t have the all terrain tires on) or damage the truck that we have to use for the rest of the trip. It was getting too late to hike in to actually see Devil’s Bridge so we’ll go tomorrow. We’re up very early to go on our sunrise hot air balloon ride….woo hoo!!
Lovely that you can go out and explore with Jade and not impact the area with pollution, both exhaust as well as sound. Gorgeous scenery for sure, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
The early morning and late afternoon / evening is breathtaking! Thanks for sharing your adventures!!!
